Construction of this AQ2 bass drum is made up using a 7-ply blend of Canadian and Chinese maple which is extremely all purpose and offers drummers the reliability needed for extended drumming sessions. The AQ2 Series features newly designed shell hardware and new SmartMount Technology. SmartMount Technology is a welcome addition to this series as it avoids unnecessary drilling holes and metal to shell contact, allowing for better sustain and better visibility on the shell surface. Sonor has integrated the newly designed shell hardware and an timeless aqua silver burst finish, as well as the Sonor AQ2 Drum Badge.
