Martin guitars from the “Golden Era” (pre-World War II) are some of the most prized and coveted instruments on the planet. The CEO-7 Golden Era embodies the spirit of those classic guitars with top-grade tonewoods and period-correct touches. And the sound is rich yet detailed, with incredible focus and balanced tonality. The CEO-7’s sound and robust projection make it ideal for live performance as well as recording. In addition, the CEO-7 is great for aggressive strumming or subtle fingerpicking — bluegrass, folk, even acoustic rock sound great on the CEO-7.
Quality tonewoods produce amazing tone
A quality acoustic guitar is all about the wood, and the CEO-7 Golden Era delivers no-compromise quality. The top is composed of rare solid Adirondack spruce. Similar to high-elevation European alpine spruce, this wood was abundant in the 1930s and used on the Martin guitars of that era. Its extraordinary tone, prized for its dynamic projection and tonal clarity, contributes significantly to the CEO-7’s sound. The back and sides are composed of solid genuine mahogany, which provides the CEO-7 with a thick and meaty character. Rich with magnificent harmonic overtones, the CEO-7’s tone tends to bloom, giving your sound extra depth. Additionally, a select hardwood neck with solid black ebony fingerboard gives the CEO-7 awesome playing ease to match its awesome sound!
