Need more I/O for your Allen & Heath dLive, SQ, or Avantis system? Grab a Allen and Heath DX168 16×8 Portable DX I/O Expander, and you can expand your rig by 16 inputs and 8 outputs. Need more? No problem — you can connect up to six units (four via the MixRack and two via the Surface) to your dLive system for a total of 96 inputs and 48 outputs. You can also daisy-chain two units and connect them directly to an SQ SLink port. Each DX168 comes loaded with 16 great-sounding mic preamps that can be placed conveniently on the stage floor. The DX168 is a breeze to set up, thanks to its Plug and Play design, and is compatible with Cat 5e cables of up to 100m. This portable DX Expander weighs a measly 10-1/2 pounds and features a carry handle for easy transport. The DX168 works with both S Class and C Class dLive, along with SQ systems.
Offers impressive levels of expandability
The DX168, when used in conjunction with a Surface and MixRack, combines to form a powerful and expandable system. The Surface provides you with direct hands-on control over your mix. The MixRack is the brain of the system, containing the XCVI core, and is supported by a whole host of surfaces, apps, software, TCP/IP control, and IP remotes, all of which provide different means of controlling the mixer. A 128-channel I/O port supports Dante, Waves SG, ACE, and MADI, along with full compatibility with ME personal mixing systems. We’ve found these systems to be flexible enough to tackle any mixing challenge that we throw at them.
